Welcome to Casa Del Flavors, a small family owned and operated pop-up restaurant. At Casa, we believe that plant-based food should be vibrant, comforting, and accessible to everyone in Poughkeepsie and the greater Hudson Valley. Founded by Dre and Val Rivera in December of 2015, our mission is to redefine what it means to eat vegan by serving up bold, flavor-packed dishes, rooted in Latin flavors.

While our concept is primarily centered around vegan & vegetarian lifestyles, we do offer some Peruvian (Val) and Puerto Rican (Dre) inspired meat dishes, so bring your carnivorous friends! Whether you are a lifelong vegan, exploring a dairy-free lifestyle, or simply looking to enjoy a delicious, locally sourced meal, we have a seat for you at our table.

We partner with regional Hudson Valley farmers to bring the freshest, seasonal ingredients straight from the earth to your plate. We carefully select our items, prioritizing the use of organic produce to craft our signature homemade sauces and dishes. Some

of our partners include: Flowering Sun Ecology (Ellenville), C4 Mushrooms (Hyde Park), Farm Lane Farms (Hyde Park), Treeline (Kingston). Our cuisine centers around the use of functional, medicinal, organic mushrooms,

so a HUGE thank you to our farmers! 

We started Casa Del Flavors because we craved vegan foods not available in our community. We enjoy cooking the foods we love and thought, “why not share our passion for food with others?” We believe great cooking starts at home, hence “Casa”! Our mission is to create flavor packed, comfort foods, and clean eating alternatives through the use of Coral Toothed, Oyster, and other mushrooms that promote brain and gut health, immune support, and anti-inflammatory properties, while nourishing the

body.

Coming from Latino households, plant-based cooking was not the norm. We wanted to push boundaries and transform traditional Peruvian and Puerto Rican foods by “vegan-izing” them. Every dish on our menu—from our signature Un-chicken Sando, golden Sweet Corn Arepas to our Vegan Rican Bowl—is designed to prove that plant-based eating never means sacrificing rich flavor or satisfaction.
